Brass 70:30

This is Copper and Zinc alloy containing 70% copper and 30% Zinc. This alloy is used in electronic, elctrical, automobile and agro industries. This alloy has very good ductility.

Brass 65:35 and 63:37

This as name suggests contains 65% copper plus 35% Zinc and 63% Copper plus 37% Zinc respectively. Compared to 70:30 Brass it has less ductility and its field of application is more or less same as Brass 70:30.

Free Machining Brass

This Brass contains copper between 56 to 60% with lead varying between 1.5 to 2.8% and balance as  Zinc. As the name suggests this alloy is used where items require lot of machining operation. This alloy is  generally supplied in rod and wire form.

Forging Brass

 

This Brass contains copper between 58% to 62% of Copper with lead between 0.8 to 1.8% and balance  as Zinc. This alloy is best suited for items which require forging and subsequent machining operations.
